baby-2One of the first things to decide when you start making a scrapbook for your baby boy is whether you want to go for a traditional style or a more modern look. The choice of layouts you can use is huge and good places for ideas are scrapbooking magazines or free sites online where you can create your baby boy layout and print it out to get an idea of how it will look in your scrapbook.

For a more traditional style you may want to opt for the usual powder blue colors associated with baby boys but a more modern approach would be to use bright primary colors….red, yellow, blue and green to create a striking layout.

You can of course, copy the exact layouts you find in your favorite scrapbooking magazine or on a website. You may prefer to create a layout that is completely unique to you and your baby boy.

Don’t worry too much about getting your layouts perfect as they can still look wonderful with a few imperfections. You may want to use the same layout for each page of your scrapbook or change the layout as you go…for instance if you are going to use the same scrapbook for several years to chart the progress of your baby as he grows.
